Renault Clio Formula Edition on sale from $19,990
Limited edition hatchback brings extra kit for no extra outlay, including a new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Renault Australia has quietly introduced a special-edition version of the Clio dubbed the Formula Edition, which is now on sale from $19,990 drive-away.
Based on the entry-level Life specification, the Clio Formula Edition adds a range of handy features for no price increase.
New equipment includes a new infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, 17-inch 'Optemic' alloy wheels borrowed from the top-spec Intens, along with 'Formula Edition' decals, just in case you forgot you got the special edition.
The Formula Edition comes in four colours – one solid, three metallic (the latter are $880 more). Glacier White is the sole standard colour, while buyers can also opt for Flame Red, Mercury Silver, and Titanium Grey.
Power comes from the same 1.2-litre petrol turbo four as the base car, making 88kW at 4900rpm and 190Nm at 2000rpm.
Renault claims a 9.4-second acceleration time from 0-100, while fuel use is rated at 5.6L/100km on the combined cycle.
The Clio Formula Edition is on sale now.
