Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recalled for fuel injector line fix
A small number of models in the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van range have been recalled in Australia this week.
Mercedes-Benz reports that affected vehicles may have had faulty high-pressure fuel injector lines installed, which the company says “may not have been manufactured to specification”.
The fault could result in cracks forming in the fuel lines, leading to the potential for fuel leakage and possibly fire.
The company has confirmed that 38 vehicles, available for sale between October 1 and November 30, 2015, are listed in the recall.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by mail.
