Evie expands electric-car fast-charging network with more Dan Murphy’s sites

Browse a little bit longer at Dan Murphy's liquor stores, with more Evie Networks electric-vehicle fast chargers planned following a successful trial.

Grab a nice bottle of chardonnay for home while you charge, as more Evie electric-car fast chargers are planned for Dan Murphy's liquor stores.

A pair of 75kW DC fast chargers are set to be installed at Dan Murphy's in Broadmeadows, Victoria at the end of September.

It is in addition to four DC fast chargers at Dan Murphy's locations in Batemans Bay and Swansea in New South Wales, and Alphington and Oakleigh in Victoria. All these sites operate 50kW DC fast chargers with two CCS2 plugs.

Dan Murphy's Managing Director, Agnieszka Pfeiffer-Smith said in a written media statement: "We have seen this initiative really gain some strong traction around our existing sites in Batemans Bay, Swansea, Alphington, and Oakleigh.

"This has been absolutely fantastic so far, but the rollout doesn’t stop there. We plan on introducing more stations over the next 12 months," the executive said.

In the past six months, the Evie chargers have served approximately 1500 charging sessions at the Dan Murphy's locations, the companies say.

Evie Networks says it operates the largest DC fast-charging network in Australia, with more than 150 charging stations around the country.
