Citroen cleans up Cactus range
Diesel model spiked while automatic added to petrol variant
Citroen has revised its Cactus small SUV lineup, correcting some of the wrongs that hampered its appeal when it first arrived in Australian showrooms last year.
Under the stewardship of its new local importers, the French car maker has spiked the diesel-powered model and added an automatic transmission to the options list of the base-level petrol variant.
Pricing and specifications for the range remain unchanged for the C4 Cactus with a five-speed manual, starting from $26,990 plus on-road costs, while the automatic costs from $29,690 (plus on-roads), $300 less than the diesel variant it replaces.
At the same time Citroen will introduce a special edition OneTone model, designed to hide the C4 Cactus’ controversial contrasting AirBump body protection package with a more elegant monotone treatment.
Two OneTone options will be available, one in metallic black paint with black AirBumps, black roof rails, black mirror caps and black alloy wheels, and the other combining pearl white paint, dune (off white) AirBumps, white roof rails and mirror caps, and two-tone white alloy wheels. Both models feature OneTone decals on a black C-pillar insert.
Pricing for the C4 Cactus OneTone editions starts at $27,490 plus on-road costs for the manual and $30,190 plus on-road costs for the automatic with order books now open.
