Toyota will revisit its popular FT-1 concept for Sony’s new Vision Gran Turismo program, and this new video offers a first look at its plans.

First teased way back in December through a stylised silhouette, it is now clear that the special new virtual concept will be a racing version of the FT-1 that was revealed in January.

Decked out in an all-black finish, the modified FT-1 is shown with a track-specific kit that includes wider vented wheel arches and a huge racing wing above an equally gargantuan diffuser. Track weapon indeed.

Developed as part of the ongoing Vision Gran Turismo project, the racing FT-1 will be offered as downloadable content alongside concepts from Mercedes, Subaru, Nissan, Subaru, Honda, stablemate Lexus and even Aston Martin.
