TOYOTA CAMRY RZ
There’s no turbo with this one, but for $31,990 you’ll get a number of sporting tweaks, along with the 86 coupe and Corolla Levin ZR’s Inferno Orange paint job. (You can also have it in red, blue, graphite, silver or white.)
Based on the entry-level Camry Altise, the RZ adds black fog-light bezels and a darker look to the auto headlights, along with a black finish to the grille, boot-lip spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels - up from 16-inch rims on the Altise.
There’s also sports-tuned suspension, a dual exhaust setup at the rear and an ‘RZ’ sticker pack applied to the body.
In the cabin you’ll find an upgraded steering wheel and gear knob combo, a 6.1-inch display, reversing camera, and special front floor mats.
Power is provided by Toyota’s 2.5 litre four, producing 135kW and 231Nm (up 2kW over the Altise but 4Nm short of the Atara) and matched to the regular six-speed auto. Fuel use is listed at 7.8 l/100km.
The RZ is expected to continue in the Australian line-up until the newly restyled Camry hits Australian showrooms later this year.
