The recall announcements keep on flowing, with three new notifications this week from Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, and Bentley.

Fiat 500

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia has announced a recall for all versions of its Fiat 500 range, relating to a possible nonconformity in the right front seat-rails.

In affected vehicles the front seat guide-tracks do not comply with safety standards and in the event of an accident the seat may move forwards or backwards unintentionally, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Mercedes-Benz ML and GL

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its ML and GL SUV ranges, concerning vehicles sold between the 1st of May 2015 and the 31st of July 2015.

The recall relates to to the lower mount for the right rear seatbelt, which may not have been fitted according to specifications.

In the event of a severe accident the belt mounting has the potential to fail, resulting in the possibility of injury.

Bentley Continental

The final recall on the list concerns 12 Bentley Continental Flying Spur sedans, sold between the 25th of April 2007 and the 31st of December 2008.

While the standard sunroof is not affected, vehicles fitted with the optional solar glass panel are. In those vehicles the glass panel may be inadequately bonded to the sliding sunroof-frame.

In instances where the solar panel comes loose on a moving vehicle, road users following the vehicle could be endangered.

In each case the relative manufacturer will attempt to contact owners to arrange to have the particular parts repaired or replaced (as required) free of charge. Owners wishing to find out more information are advised to contact their local dealership.
