Porsche has announced a pre-emptive recall of all Porsche Macan S petrol and Macan Turbo models globally, with 1,302 vehicles (788 Macan S; 514 Macan Turbo) in Australia affected.
The recall concerns a low-pressure fuel hose in the engine bay, which could develop a leak and pose a fire hazard.
Porsche has said it will contact all affected owners through their respective dealership, with all cars to receive a new hose fitted free of charge.
With 1604 Macans sold so far this year, the Macan is Porsche Australia's most popular model by a convincing margin - the second place-getter, the Porsche Cayenne, has only notched up 1040 sales year-to-date.
The range starts with the $88,000 Macan S Diesel, moving through to the $89,300 Macan S petrol and the top-shelf Macan Turbo at $125,800. The Macan S Diesel is not affected by the fuel hose recall.
