The coupe version of Mercedes-Benz’s new C-Class has yet to surface, but this new rendering offers an idea of what we might expect in hero AMG form.
Of course, the enhanced AMG version of the C-Class sedan has also yet to be revealed, but there is likely to be very few surprises.
Meulendijk’s rendering, which shows the coming coupe in C 63 AMG form, wears the brand’s familiar new styling, from the wide lower grille up front to the slender S-Class Coupe lights at the rear.
As for motivation, AMG has already revealed its new 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8, destined for both this new C 63 and for the upcoming AMG GT coupe.
The new V8 will offer a mean 375kW and 650Nm in its regular form, making it a worthy successor to the outgoing 336kW/600Nm C 63.
The new engine could also help shave a fine layer off the C 63's 0-100km/h time, which, in the current model, is listed at 4.4 seconds.
As a classy rival to BMW’s muscly M4, this new C 63 AMG Coupe could be just what the doctor ordered.
