Speaking with UK mag Autocar this week, Mercedes design boss Gordon Wagener boasted that the new Coupe will be “sleeker and more beautiful” than the well-received new S-Class Coupe.
Wagener doubled down on that claim by promising the new C-Class Coupe will be “even better to drive than it looks”.
AMG boss Tobias Moers has likewise claimed the C 63-badged version of the new Coupe will be a “breakthrough” for the brand, although the tuning house remains quiet on the specifics.
TMR’s spy photos of the new C-Class Coupe reveal that, while the new two-door will draw on the larger S-Class Coupe for inspiration, a more traditional coupe profile will feature.
Our photos also point to a more upright rear deck, although there is a hint of some disguising false panels under the psychedelic camouflage.
Watch for more on the new C-Class Coupe to surface in the months ahead.
