No change for the starting price ($15,990 or $17,990 ‘Driveaway) but freshened looks and extra kit make the updated 2017 Honda City compact sedan a more enticing proposition.
Honda says the updated City now features design cues from the larger Civic model to provide a lower, wider stance and enhanced on-road appeal – a stylish front-end with a revised grille and bumper, and new-look headlights and LED DRLs.
There is also a new-look rear bumper, new wheel trims for the entry-grade VTi model and new multi-spoke 16-inch alloys for the range-topping VTi-L.
On the inside, the 2017 Honda City picks-up gunmetal hues for the instrument panel, some silver accents and a simplified 7.0-inch touchscreen for the audio system.
The range-topping VTi-L model now runs leather seats and satellite navigation as standard.
Honda says that’s $2,000 worth of extras for the VTi-L which increases in price by only $200.
The updated 2017 Honda City will arrive in local showrooms during April.
“This latest update for the City range delivers a range of enhancements that improve the value proposition of Honda’s small sedan, as well as giving it a stronger stance and broader appeal, picking up design cues from the 10th generation Civic,” Honda Australia chief Stephen Collins revealed.
