Ford has tacked another year and a further 30,000km onto its MyFord capped-price servicing offer this week, and added two key new features.
Now up to seven years or 135,000km (whichever comes first), this latest evolution of MyFord follows the program’s launch in 2011 with coverage for six years or 105,000km.
The upgraded program also now includes a ‘Capped Price Brake’ component, extending the MyFord service to include brake pad replacements.
The new brake package caps front pads at $259 and rear pads at $219, although Falcon and Territory rear pads are higher at $259. Rotor machining is also capped at $88.
There’s also now an Auto Club Program that adds 12 months of free membership and roadside assistance with the relevant state group - RACV, RACT, RACQ, AANT, RAA, NRMA or RAC.
The Auto Club Program is offered with the purchase of a new Ford model at participating dealers - but again, this offer is not available with FPV and Transit models.
Ford says the program has boosted customer retention for the brand, claiming that some 13,000 owners choose another Ford vehicle in 2013 “as a direct result of MyFord Capped Price Servicing”.
