Mercedes-Benz AMG has revealed its special LA Auto Show-bound model, unwrapping the SLS AMG GT Final Edition this week.
Joining the SLS AMG Black Series as a special limited-run model, the Final Edition will also mark a last hurrah for the retro-inspired coupe and cabrio models.
In Final Edition form, the SLS gets a carbon-fibre bonnet and front splitter, along with new brakes and a new rear wing.
These shots also reveal that the Final Edition will get carbon-fibre mirror housings and a darkened headlight clusters.
But, if you were looking for more power out of this special, you might be disappointed. The Final Edition's urge is provided by the same 6.2 litre V8 that propels the SLS AMG GT, delivering a hefty-enough 435kW.
Only 350 examples of the Final Edition models will be built, including left- and right-hand-drive versions, but Australia is not expected to be among them.
It is understood however that, later this year, Australian buyers will be offered access to another special-edition model.
After that? Watch for Merc's upcoming 'C190' coupe, known in the press as the SLC, to debut sometime in 2014.
