All are created using Mercedes-Benz’ AMG Performance Studio range of options, demonstrating the possibilities available for creative customers.
The SLK 55 AMG on display is finished in ‘designo magno cashmere’ matte white metallic paint, with two tone ‘Mystic Blue Exclusive’ leather interior trim with white stitching and carbon fibre highlights.
Its snow-like white bodywork is offset by matte black 18 inch multi-spoke AMG wheels.
Conversely, the C 63 AMG Coupe on display features ‘designo Mystic Blue’ gloss paintwork, with ‘designo Deep White’ leather interior trim with blue stitching and carbon fibre highlights to compliment those applied to its body.
The C 63 AMG Coupe is equipped with the optional ‘Performance Pack’, which includes 19 inch multi-spoke wheels - painted titanium grey on this example.
Rounding out the trio of show specials is the SLS AMG Roadster, which is clad in ‘Coarse Silver’ paintwork, which Mercedes describe as “bringing new meaning to the world metallic”.
The sparkling silver hue is similar to the ‘metalflake’ finish common in hot rod circles, with a far larger metallic grain used than in conventional metallic finishes.
These 2012 AIMS AMG creations follow a similar approach to Mercedes-Benz’ 2010 AIMS stand, which included the unveiling of similarly optioned-up C 63 sedan and SLS gullwing models.
