Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall in Australia this week, targeting its CLA-Class and GLA-Class models.

The pair may have been fitted with left window side airbags during manufacturing that were not made to specification.

During a collision, if the airbag is required it may not deploy correctly. This may present an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants.

Affected models were sold in Australia between October and November last year.

The recall process will include an inspection of the airbag and replacement where necessary. Works will be carried out at no cost to owners.

Mercedes-Benz will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
