The coming new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe SUV has been spied testing once more, again in its top-shelf AMG trim.
Shown here in its most revealing form yet, the big new BMW X6 M rival is likely to debut in the coming year as the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe.
These latest images reveal that the big new sports SUV’s styling will see very few changes in the leap to production, after first appearing as the Concept Coupe in April.
Mercedes-AMG has also released its own official teaser for the GLE Coupe in recent weeks, revealing the face of a new ‘AMG Sport’ variant late last month.
Power in the top AMG GLE 63 Coupe will likely come from the same 386kW/700Nm 5.5 litre bi-turbo V8 that powers the current ML 63, driving all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
We might however see AMG dial up the boost, with BMW’s newly revealed 2015 X6 M performer boasting a mighty 422kW and 750Nm from its 4.4 litre V8.
The new GLE Coupe range is expected to debut early in 2015.
