If you thought the passing of star Paul Walker in the middle of filming for the upcoming Furious 7 would spell an end to the Fast & Furious series, you’ll have to think faster.

According to cinema rag The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Studios is more than ready to continue raking in the blockbuster bucks the fan-favourite franchise has delivered for more than a decade.

“We think there’s at least three more [movies]”, Universal executive Donna Lang said.

Paul is, and always will be, an integral part of the story. But there are many other great characters, and it’s also an opportunity to introduce new characters.”

“I think it’s still a growing franchise.”

Guess we’ll see you in 2020 for Fast & Furious 10, then, eh?
