Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment and connectivity system is slowly making its way through the carmaker’s local range, and the Mondeo midsizer is the next to receive the upgrade.

Improvements include conversational voice recognition, a more responsive eight-inch touchscreen, faster performance and, according to Ford, an easier-to-understand graphic interface.

The third generation of the well-received system also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Ford’s Applink system.

Ford calls the upgraded Mondeo a ‘2016.75’ model, and the SYNC 3 platform is now standard across the Mondeo range.
