Ford Australia has joined Holden in supporting fans of its classic models, announcing a new partnership this week with replica parts-maker Rare Spares.
The new program will see Rare Spares use original Ford tooling to produce and sell licensed restoration parts for models from the 1960 XK to the 1984 XF.
The Ford Restoration Parts by Rare Spares range will give owners access to Ford badges, decals, wheel caps and trims, window, door and boot seal rubbers, engine and cooling components, electrical components, lamps and lenses.
“We are very excited to be working with Rare Spares to help keep these iconic Ford vehicles on the road,” Bob Graziano, President and CEO of Ford Australia, said.
“Ford has a very iconic place in the history of Australian culture, and under this new agreement, Rare Spares are able to help enthusiasts restore their classic vehicles to their former glory and continue to pay tribute to Ford Australia’s heritage.”
Ford's general manager of customer service, Stephen Kruk, acknowledged the passion of Ford enthusiasts, adding that the partnership with Rare Spares will provide peace of mind for owners seeking authentic parts.
“Classic Ford vehicles are becoming rarer and in some cases, parts are becoming more difficult to find, so the Ford Restoration Parts by Rare Spares program is a welcome move.”
Rare Spares Ford Restoration Parts will be available in all Rare Spares distributor stores across Australia and New Zealand, and on the Rare Spares online store.
