Fiat appears to be painting its coming new 500X as something of a seductress ahead of its Paris Motor Show debut next month.
The compact SUV stars in a new short clip this week that pairs a tight red sheet with a spot of mellow lounge music to get you in the groove.
This isn't the new crossover's first tease, however: recent manufacturing shots and a very revealing appearance back in 2012 have already offered a clear look at what's beneath that clingy red dress.
Above, we can see cavities for the crossover’s large round headlights, while the rest of the body centres on a curvaceous look that again harks back to the original 500.
The 500X will share its architecture with the new Jeep Renegade crossover, and we’ll likely see the same 1.4, 1.6 and 2.4 litre petrol engines that drive the Jeep, along with a 2.0 litre diesel option.
Transmissions should include a six-speed manual and ZF’s nine-speed auto (also featured in the Dodge Dart and Fiat Viaggio sedans).
In Renegade form, there's also a front-wheel-drive option and two 4x4 systems, with one of those developed specifically for a more offroad-focused application.
It remains to be seen if the 500X - which is likely to star mostly in urban environments - will get all three of those configurations.
Watch for more details to surface in the coming weeks.
