Ferrari has unveiled a special edition of its 458 Spider ahead of the Paris Motor Show, designed to celebrate its “most successful, award-winning eight-cylinder model”.
Joining the 458 Speciale coupe, the new model is called the 458 Speciale A - the ‘A’ being short for Aperta, Italian for 'open'.
Only 499 examples will be available to Ferrari collectors, but each buyer will end up with something to boast about.
With 445kW on tap at 9000 RPM and 540Nm at 6000 RPM from its 4.5 litre naturally-aspirated V8, the Speciale A is the most powerful Spider that Ferrari has ever made.
The drop-top will hit 100km/h from rest in just three seconds flat and 200km/h in 9.5 seconds, with the ability to lap Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit in 1m23.5s.
