(The SUV will also join a new high-powered concept version of the DS 5SL in Beijing, highlighting Citroen’s push to become a bigger player in the Chinese market.)
Details of the new SUV are still to be confirmed, although it is clear from this new teaser image that the model will be based on last year’s DS Wild Rubis concept.
Importantly for the brand, the Wild Rubis was the first of its new models to wear the DS badge on its own, tossing aside the familiar chevron badge.
As for powertrains, Citroen has said only that the new SUV will “marry power and refinement” - although reports have suggested a 150kW 1.6 turbo unit will represent the SUV’s most powerful engine option.
