For BMW fans, that means a range of new M Performance accessories that will appear on the options list when the M2 arrives in showrooms.
BMW isn’t showing its full hand just yet, however, with the options on show mainly centred around exterior styling.
Up front, carbon-fibre mirror covers will be available along with grilles and front guard air intakes finished in gloss black, while carbon-fibre also features at the rear in the wing, diffuser and exhaust tailpipe.
The exhaust is available with a ‘flap’ system to enhance power and sound, while the show car will also wear M Performance sports suspension.
Inside, there’s a thicker, sportier steering wheel finished in Alcantara and more carbon-fibre - this time adorning the centre console and gear shifter.
Stainless steel pedals finish off the package.
BMW says more M Performance options will be announced in the first half of next year, timed to be more closely-aligned with the M2’s sales debut in various markets.
Joining the M2 at SEMA in Las Vegas will be the larger M4 coupe (pictured), which is also wearing new M Performance options including racing stripes, LED door protectors, gloss black highlights and a stainless steel exhaust system with a rear silencer made from titanium with carbon-fibre tips.
