2014 BMW 2 SERIES
UPDATE: New press shots have landed online overnight. Article updated.
A broken embargo in the Australian motoring media is nothing unusual, but this time it's German magazine AutoBild and website AutoWeek sharing official images of the all-new BMW 2 Series Coupe.
These latest shots also offer the first clear view of the 'regular' 2 Series styling kit, with a simpler bumper design replacing the M Sport/Performance kit of the recently spied M235i model.
As with earlier photos, these images reveal the new 2's narrow headlight design and 'mini 4 Series' profile, endowing the new Coupe with a more flowing roofline than its popular predecessor.
At the rear end, the new coupe gets a tail-light design not far removed from the units found on the 1 Series Coupe, with a basic L-shaped design reaching into the bootlid.
In the cabin, we see that the 2 Series has been given the same dash design used by the 1 Series hatch, although the M235i's steering wheel has been upgraded to BMW's new retro-styled three-spoke wheel.
Watch for more details on the new 2 Series to surface in the coming hours.
