Mercedes-AMG has kept the ball rolling with its recent all-new 2015 C 63 unveiling, adding a special edition pack to the options list during the first 12 months of the car’s production.

Fittingly called “Edition 1”, the pack will be available to C 63 or C 63 S customers in both sedan and wagon form, adding a bagful of extras to the existing package.

The Editon 1 unveiling follows the ‘regular’ C 63 unveiling this week, which itself followed Mercedes-AMG's confirmation that power would come from a bi-turbo 4.0 litre V8 producing a mighty 375kW and 700Nm of torque.

Buyers wishing to opt for the Edition 1 pack will get special 19-inch wheels with widths of 8.5 inches at the front and 9.5 inches at the rear, finished in matte black with a red ring around the outer edge.

The ‘night package’ is also fitted, featuring gloss black highlights for the front wing, mirrors and window surrounds, along with darker tint for the rear windows.

Customers can choose from six exterior paint finishes including two shades of white, three shades of silver and a sole black metallic finish.

Inside, the Edition 1 gets performance seats with red seatbelts and a flat-bottomed steering wheel with red ’12-o’clock’ indicator, along with door panels and armrests finished in black nappa leather with red stitching.

The red theme continues with the surrounds of the floor mats, which also feature “AMG” logos.

The C 63 Edition 1 joins the Mercedes-AMG GT which will also be available as an ‘Edition 1’, with the GT special edition unveiled just hours before the C 63.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed that we will at least see the 2015 C 63 S in local showrooms around the middle of next year, but whether the regular C 63 or the Edition 1 pack will join it or not is unclear at this stage.
