2015 HYUNDAI SONATA REVEALED
Hyundai’s all-new 2015 Sonata, teased last week ahead of its coming unveiling in Korea, was revealed in a telling spy photo only hours later.
Shown with just a light touch of camouflage, the new Sonata’s face is clearly visible in that first shot. Now, new images have revealed the 2015 Sonata further - and without the slighest hint of disguise.
These shot, obtained again by website The Korean Car Blog, are likely to be the work of the same Hyundai insider.
As previewed in a shadowy teaser image this week, the new Sonata will wear a broad new chrome grille, flanked by sharpened headlights with a stepped design.
Last week's illustration also hints at a flowing coupe-like roofline, pillar-mounted side mirrors and a tall powerful character line - and all of these features are now on display in these new shots.
Hyundai promises a more premium feel for its new Sonata, taking the model significantly further up-market than the old model, which left Australia in early 2013.
The company’s Australian arm has confirmed an Australian launch will occur later this year, although it is unclear if the new Sonata (the i45 name is not expected to return) will replace the i40 in Hyundai’s local line-up.
