Although it was officially previewed to select customers late last year, Koenigsegg has only recently confirmed the existence of its mid-grade Agera S model.
With the engines of the Agera and Agera R specifically tuned to take advantage of the higher octane of E85 fuel, the Agera S has a peak power output roughly ten percent lower than that of the R.
Still, with its 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 churning out 757kW of power and a mighty 1099Nm of torque this is still one impressively muscular hypercar. Output-wise, it's also pretty much right in the middle of the 716kW Agera and the 850kW Agera R.
The Agera S demolishes the 0-100km/h sprint in a scant 2.9 seconds, and top speed is said to be in excess of 400km/h.
It'll also sustain a solid 1.6g of cornering force around a skidpad, and with its carbon-fibre and aluminium chassis helping it tip the scales at 1415kg it's not exactly porky either.
Like the other Agera models, the Agera S is equipped with a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic and takes drive to the rear wheels via an electronically-controlled limited slip differential. A removeable roof is also standard, making the Agera S one of the fastest convertibles on the planet.
Price? Well, if you have to ask... you know the rest.
To give you some indication though, the first Agera S off the production line was sold at a special function in Singapore for the princely sum of SG$5.3 million - or a little over AU$4.4 million - making it the most expensive car ever sold in the island state.
