2013 Porsche Cayman Bound For LA Auto Show Debut: Report

Porsche's brand-new 2013 Cayman, previewed by the the Boxster revealed this year, will reportedly appear at November's Los Angeles Auto Show.

According to industry paper Automotive News, Porsche has confirmed the American event will host the unveiling of its new entry-level coupe.

The new Cayman will enter as a hardtop version of the topless Boxster, as did its predecessor. Little separates the two beneath the skin, including a new longer wheelbase, a wider track and shorter overhangs at each end.

Expect the 2012 Boxster's 198kW 2.7 litre and 235kW 3.4 litre engines to feature, along with the usual Cayman and Cayman S grades.

In Boxster form, the engines deliver 0-100km/h times of 5.7 seconds for the regular model, and 5.0 seconds flat for the S.

Watch for an Australian debut in late 2012 or early 2013.
