The extra-hot Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Edition 507 trio is now in Australia, following its unveiling in Geneva earlier this year.
As confirmed in April, the special new badge's pricing kicks off at $169,407 for the sedan version, marking a nearly $15,000 premium over the 'regular' C 63.
Next in line is the $171,407 Estate wagon, with the trio rounded out by the two-door $172,407 C 63 AMG Edition 507 Coupe.
Power in the 507 models is provided by an uprated version of the C 63 Performance Pack setup, and a number of features from the special (and sold-out) Black Series have also been thrown in.
Like the existing C 63’s optional Performance Pack trim, the Edition 507’s 373kW/610Nm 6.2 litre V8 uses forged pistons, connecting rods and lightweight crankshaft from the SLS AMG, but liberates a further 15kW/10Nm through revised tuning.
The seven-speed AMG SpeedShift multi-clutch transmission used by other C 63 variants remains the sole transmission choice for the Edition 507, but 0-100km/h acceleration is down to 4.2 seconds for Sedan and Coupe models.
This represents a 0.2 second improvement over the base C 63 Sedan and Coupe, and 0.1 second ahead of the same bodystyles with the Performance Package.
Top speed is boosted to 280km/h before the limiter kicks in, compared with the regular C 63’s 250km/h threshold.
Braking power is brought by the same setup offered with the Performance Pack, including 360mm front/330mm rear two-piece steel rotors, with red-coloured six piston front/ four piston rear calipers.
There's also new forged-aluminium Y-spoke 19 inch wheels, with 235/35R19 tyres up front and 255/30R19 at the rear.
Interior tweaks include Edition 507 badging and embroidery throughout, along with a number of unique trim and accent highlights.
