Great Wall’s Australian re-launch has moved one step closer with the arrival of the first Steed utes.

China’s best-selling ute brand will go on-sale next month with three dual-cab models – 4x4 diesel, 4x2 diesel and 4x2 petrol.

Great Wall Motors assumed control of its Australian and New Zealand operations (replacing private importer Ateco Automotive) on 1 July and already 50 dealers have signed-up; so the company is confident of Australia-wide coverage.

“We will launch with a three-model line-up boasting a rugged new design, high levels of safety, one-tonne payload and very attractive price points for Australian customers,” revealed Great Wall’s Australian chief Parker Shi.

More than 45,000 Great Wall vehicles have previously been sold in Australia and New Zealand.
