MITSUBISHI HAS TODAY released the limited edition Outlander ACTiV, ahead of an expected update to the Outlander later this year.
Featuring a new chrome grille unique to the ACTiV, the new limited edition Outlander wears an alloy nudge bar up front and roof-rail cross bars. Exclusive ACTiV badging, privacy glass and fog lamps round out the external features.
Inside, a Rockford Fosgate premium audio system and Bluetooth hands-free phone capability is standard.
On the safety front, driver and passenger front SRS airbags are standard, as is multi-mode ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Active Stability Control with Traction Control, All Wheel Control with All Terrain Technology and Active Select 4WD.
The ACTiV is the second special edition of the Outlander in 2009, following the limited edition Outlander RX released earlier in the year.
Lenore Fletcher, Head of Corporate Communications for Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited, told TMR today that while an update to the Outlander is coming this year, little can be revealed at this stage.
"The Outlander will be updated, and it will arrive before the end of the year. I can't say at this point what that update will be," Ms Fletcher said.
Mitsubishi in Australia is now at the point where we run very closely in tandem with the rest of the world, and the update hasn't been released anywhere yet, so we can't comment on its arrival yet."
Covered by Mitsubishi's 10 year / 160,000km drivetrain warranty and five year / 130,000km new vehicle warranty, the Outlander ACTiV starts from $33,990 drive away.
