Mitsubishi has released a special edition of its popular Outlander model, titled simply Outlander RX.
Packing the larger of the Outlander’s two engine options, the Outlander RX sports a 3.0 litre sports-tuned V6 MIVEC mill and a six-speed automatic transmission, featuring sports mode as standard. Fuel economy is impressive, with the V6 returning 10.9l/100km.
The special edition Outlander RX, limited to 300 units, also features 18-inch RAYS alloy wheels, front, rear and side air dams, chrome exterior door handles and mirrors and HID headlamps and headlamp washers.
Available in Black Mica and Cool Silver, the Outlander RX bears a number of the usual ‘special edition’ hallmarks, including decorative front and rear door trim ornaments, chrome interior door handles, and unique seat trim.
Features of a more technological bent include Smart key entry, Bluetooth hands free phone capability, a Rockford Fosgate premium audio system and Mitsubishi Multi-Communications System with satellite navigation.
Safety features are of a high standard, with driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags, and reversing cameras as standard.
Mitsubishi’s Active Stability Control with Traction Control (ASTC) system comes as standard, with Mitsubishi’s All Wheel Control (AWC), incorporating All Terrain Technology and the Active Select 4WD system.
The Outlander RX is covered by Mitsubishi’s industry-leading 5 year / 130,000 km or 10 year / 160,000 km non-transferrable drive-train warranty and 5 year roadside assist as standard.
