While ‘regular’ Victoria number plates such as “Mustang” and “Stang” will all be long gone, a Mustang-owner’s allegiance to their pride and joy can now be reinforced regardless of the letters and numerals it carries.
And if you can’t afford a new Mustang (or you need more than two doors), at least you can afford the number plates…
VicRoads says the new plates will be the same size as the existing USA plate range from Custom Plates: 305mm wide by 155mm high.
Two colour options are available - white on black or black on white.
Prices start at $195 for owners wishing to simply change their existing number combination to a Mustang plate, or $495 for a Mustang plate with a new combination.
The plates were designed in consultation with Ford Australia and feedback from Mustang enthusiasts.
For Ford fans who don’t or won’t own a Mustang, VicRoads reminds them that standard Ford and Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) are also available.
The VicRoads Mustang plates will be available from tomorrow (Wednesday 25 November).
