As Ferrari draws closer to completing development of its F430 successor, more and more guesses are being made at just what the prancing horse has in store.
Last week we brought you more news about the Ferrari F142 - the new Ferrari's internal name - to go with earlier spy shots. This time around, French publication Auto Plus has taken a punt on what it thinks the finished product will look like.
Although most of the finer details are still a closely-guarded secret, the new Fezza will most likely debut with a 4.5 litre V8 and wear F450 badges. Output targets for the engine are above 373kW (500hp), to be delivered through a variant of the California?s seven-speed gearbox.
The F450 will also be Ferrari?s first foray into the use of eco-friendly materials. Weight-saving measures are in place, both to enhance performance as well as to 'green up' Ferrari?s image.
Come September, Ferrari is expected to show the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show before customer deliveries begin in 2010.
