GM has confirmed that its upcoming 2014 CTS sedan, due at his month's New York Auto Show, will debut with a twin-turbo 3.6 litre V6 engine.
Based on the company's existing naturally-aspirated 3.6 V6, the new turbo mill utilise two small turbochargers and a host of new components to produce a hefty 313kW and 583Nm of torque.
Breaking it down, that's 87kW per litre - and GM is all-too-happy to remind buyers of how those figures compare to the 3.0 litre turbo six in the 535i (74kW/litre) and the 4.4 twin-turbo V8 in the 550i (68kW/litre).
