New Jeep Wrangler Unveiled

Jeep teases images ahead of official reveal later this month.

Jeep has revealed images of its new Wrangler that show it’s the same, but different.

Full specifications and more images showing off the rugged Jeep are being saved until the Wrangler’s official reveal at November’s 2017 Los Angeles motor show but the teaser shots give away a few details.

It appears the new Wrangler has stayed true to its roots from a styling point-of-view, retaining the brand’s iconic seven-slot grille and Wrangler’s signature round headlights. In the images are both three- and five-door models and the five-door appears to be wearing the ‘Sahara’ badge while the three-door carries the trail-rated Rubicon name.

The three-door also shows-off the new Wrangler’s flexible bodywork with both the doors and roof removed, as well as the windscreen folded down onto the bonnet for maximum open-air motoring.

While the American off-road brand hasn’t given away any technical details of the new model, other than to say it has “advanced fuel-efficient powertrains”, TMR previously reported that leaked information indicated there would be a choice of 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol, 3.6-litre V6 petrol and 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engines. The leaked information also claims the Scrambler name returns to sit alongside Sahara and Rubicon.

Four-wheel drive enthusiasts will be glad to know the Wrangler also remains a body-on-frame vehicle for better off-road performance.

TMR will bring you all the details of the new Wrangler when it is revealed at the Los Angeles show.
