Mazda is the latest carmaker to declare across-the-board availability of smartphone mirroring will be available soon.
Speaking with Cars.Com, the Japanese carmaker said its initial partnership with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto platforms began in 2014.
But Mazda says it will trump many other carmakers by also offering the connectivity pair as a retrospective upgrade.
"It is no secret that we are developing both systems to interface with our Mazda Connect infotainment system,” Mazda reportedly said in a statement.
“Both software systems should be retroactively upgradable onto all Mazda Connect systems with a potentially minimal hardware addition needed. Mazda does not yet have an official timeline for when these should be available or at what cost, however."
