Less power for top-spec Suzuki Baleno
Suzuki has given one of its city cars a minor update for the new year.
A rationalisation of the range includes one new colour option and an elimination of the turbo-charged engine in the range-topping GXL.
Top-spec GXL models will no longer use Suzuki’s 1.0-litre BoosterJet engines - instead, getting the same 1.4-litre four-cylinder as the entry-level GL with 68kW of power and 130Nm of torque.
Resulting in a lower price point, Suzuki is currently offering the GXL with an introductory drive-away price of $19,990.
The new colour option, Stargaze Blue, is available alongside the already available four colour options: Arctic White, Granite Grey Metallic, Premium Silver Metallic and Fire Red.
Updated Baleno models are on sale now.
