GM Renews “Crossvolt” Trademark, Volt Crossover On The Way?

With the next-generation Chevrolet Volt (and by extension, Holden Volt) slated to make its official debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January, word on the wire is that Chevy's range-extender hybrid could see a crossover counterpart joining it in the near future.
If this sounds like old news, that's because it kind of is. GM exhibited the Volt MPV5 Concept people-mover (pictured) four years ago, and rumours of a family-sized Volt model have refused to die since.
Further stoking those rumours, GM even registered the name "Crossvolt" as a trademark in 2011 - though that trademark expired in August this year.
