CarAdvice and Drive – it’s almost time to move house

It’s time! We’re moving house.

We’re getting close to the day where everything switches over and we move house to Drive.com.au. The ‘orange’ site has served us well, but we’re looking forward to getting everything unpacked and set up at the new place.

Over the coming days, you’ll see a slow-down in content here at Caradvice.com.au, and an increase in content at Drive.com.au.

Then, once all the planets are aligned, we’ll unpack every article, photo, video and every valuable comment to provide all the content you know and love on the new website under the Drive brand.

At that point, and bookmarks you have or any searches you make will direct you to the right place in Drive, and we’ll get on with continuing to delivering the best automotive content in the country.

If this is all news to you, check out our initial exciting announcement where we are merging the old websites of CarAdvice and Drive onto a brand new platform, under a fresh and new-look Drive.com.au brand.

What you need to know, is that you don’t need to do anything. Your bookmarks, user comments account with Disqus, and your comment history will all remain. There may be a few bumps here and there, but we’ll work hard immediately following the move to get things looking and working just right.

As always, if you have any questions, come across issues or have any feedback, send us a note at contactus@caradvice.com.au – or even contact@drive.com.au, as both will work! We read them all (stay tuned for a new Q&A section) and constantly make changes to the website based on your valuable feedback.

And that’s the key. The same great team, the same great content, the same email addresses, the same social accounts, will continue to work. All the amazing content you love under a single brand where we will bring you all along on our journey.

As the clock ticks down, we’ll re-run some of our favourite CarAdvice content pieces – which will all be coming to the new domain – as a fun way to pay a bit of tribute to the brand most of us grew from and with which values we hold close, to direct us to grow the new Drive.

We’ll be sure to throw a housewarming party once everything is ready too – so stick with us over the next few weeks, and we’ll see you all on the deck for a sausage and a drink!

As always – ask us anything in the comments below, but please keep it civil. We’re happy to help and answer queries where we can.
