German tuning house Brabus has released its package of aftermarket gear for the Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover, promising to inject a bit more 'sport' into Benz's latest sport utility.
And not only does the heavy-hitting GLA 45 AMG get a bump in output to 294kW/500Nm (up from an already substantial 265kW/450Nm), but even the GLA 220 CDI (not available in Australia) sees another 30kW added to its output.
With Brabus' tune, the GLA 45 zips to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds - 0.2 seconds faster than an A 45 AMG - while the speed limiter is reset to 270km/h.
No power upgrades are listed for the mid-grade GLA 250, though Brabus sells an active exhaust for the 250 that increases exhaust volume at the press of a button.
Brabus has also revealed its cosmetic parts for the GLA, with a unique front bumper insert, rear bumper insert, a range of alloy wheels spanning sizes from 18 inches to a monstrous 21 inches and a rear spoiler.
