2024 Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage: Limited-edition retro 4WD on sale

Do you ever miss those groovy good old days? The limited-edition Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage has just been announced with some far-out features.

The 2024 Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage has been revealed, offering retro looks and extra equipment.

Limited to just 500 examples, the Australia-specific Heritage is based on the five-door, long-wheelbase Jimny XL model, and is a follow-up to the original three-door Jimny Heritage announced by Suzuki in March 2023 – which sold out in just five business hours.

Celebrating the company's "vibrant 4x4 heritage from the 70s, 80s, and 90s", the Jimny XL Heritage features special decals, red mudflaps front and rear, a Heritage cargo tray, and an exclusive merchandise pack for owners.

As was the way in those early days, the Jimny XL Heritage will be solely available with a five-speed manual transmission.

However, buyers can choose from five colours – Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, Granite Grey Metallic, White, and Chiffon Ivory with Blue Black Roof Pearl – up from just four colours available on the original three-door limited-edition. Premium paint does incur an additional cost.

As with all Jimny models sold in Australia, the Heritage is powered by a 1.5-litre non-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine producing 75kW and 130Nm with low-range four-wheel drive.

Also included is a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, and rear-view camera, as well as rear parking sensors, cruise control, LED headlights, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

While the five-door Jimny remains untested by ANCAP, the vehicle comes with six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure alert.

The 2024 Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage costs $1500 more than the Jimny XL Manual on which it's based, priced at $36,490 before on-road costs.

Buyers are invited to register their interest on the Suzuki Australia website or contact their local dealership.
