2022-2023 Audi E-Tron GT recalled over battery fire risk

Audi’s electric sports sedan has been recalled due to a manufacturing risk which may increase the risk of fire in its high-voltage battery.

Audi Australia has recalled 222 examples of its 2022-2023 Audi E-Tron GT due to a manufacturing fault in the high-voltage battery which may increase the risk of fire.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing issue, the sealing of the high-voltage battery housing may reduce overtime, allowing moisture to enter.
