2021 Isuzu D-Max in showrooms from 1 September
The 2021 Isuzu D-Max is officially due on sale from 1 September 2020, about one month later than planned due to delays in production caused by the global coronavirus crisis.
Isuzu dealers have been notified via email that the new generation D-Max will go into production in the Thailand factory mid July, and the first shipments are due to arrive in Australia mid August.
However, Isuzu is holding back the official on-sale date in Australia until Tuesday 1 September 2020 because it wants to make sure there is enough stock across its entire network of approximately 150 dealers nationally.
Isuzu Ute Australia is yet to confirm official launch timing, and pricing is also yet to be announced.
The company would not confirm the accuracy of the new delivery dates – after dealers were initially told there were no delays and the new model would arrive in late July as originally planned.
However, Drive has seen an email from Isuzu to its retail network – distributed in recent days – outlining revised timing.
Prices rises are expected given the extra standard safety and technology equipment likely to be fitted across the new Isuzu D-Max range, the first complete overhaul in more than eight years.
