2018 LDV D90 - Price And Features For Australia

Chinese brand LDV is set to move away from its traditional light commercial vehicles, entering Australia’s SUV market with the new seven-seat D90.

As a lure to prospective family buyers the D90 will go on sale locally with a sharp price of $36,990 driveaway when it goes on November 30, 2017, undercutting established rivals including the Mazda CX-9 and Hyundai Santa Fe which start from $43,890 and $40,990 before on-road costs respectively.

LDV is offering three model grades; Mode, Deluxe and Luxe with a range of two- and four-wheel drive variants.

All models are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 165kW and 350Nm paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Official fuel consumption is rated at 10.2 l/100km for two-wheel drive variants and 10.9 l/100km for four-wheel drive models.

The entry-level D90 Mode features standard driver’s seat heating, cooling, and massage, adaptive cruise control, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an eight-inch instriment display.

Moving up to the mid-grade Deluxe adds dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, powered tailgate, leather trim in the first and second rows, and a sunroof.

The top-spec D90 Luxe comes with a panoramic sunroof, heated first and second row seats, 360-degree camera system, 12-speaker audio, and puddle lights under each door.

D90 Mode is only available with two-wheel drive, while the mid-range Deluxe has a choice of either two or four wheel drive and the range-topping Luxe is fitted with all-wheel drive only.
