Jaguar’s all-new XE sedan, revealed earlier this month, will debut with not one but two versions of the company’s Ingenium diesel engines.
Already confirmed is a 120kW/380Nm tune for the 2.0 litre diesel, and this week Jaguar has announced the addition of a more powerful 132kW/430Nm version.
The diesel mills will be offered alongside the already announced turbocharged petrol versions of the Ingenium engine, along with a hero 250kW supercharged V6.
All three engine types will be matched to an eight-speed auto, and in supercharged V6 form, Jaguar promises a 0-100km/h time of 4.9 seconds.
Fuel consumption figures for the full range are still to be revealed, although Jaguar claims the diesel will be capable of returning consumption figures as low as 4.2 l/100km.
