Porsche has wasted no time getting tough with its all-new '991' 911 hero, as these spy photos of next year's up-spec GT3 reveal.
The new 911 GT3 is expected to make its global debut toward the end of next year, and we can likely expect it to take the same path as the current model: less weight, fewer mod-cons, more power.
On the styling front, the new GT3 will present the usual bag of upgrades: new bumpers with larger intakes and venting, enhanced aerodynamics and big centre-mounted exhaust pipes.
Despite continuing the styling themes of its predecessors, the new 911 is around 40kg lighter than the outgoing 997 model, and the new GT3 should roll out of the factory with even less bulk.
Porsche hasn't revealed any technical for the new GT3, but power figures should be up around the mark of the current GT3 RS, which delivers 331kW and 430Nm of torque.
