Top 10 cool features in new Forza Motorsport video game

The latest Forza Motorsport video game launched with some technical glitches, but once sorted it offers players some new and cool racing features.

The new Forza Motorsport racing game – the first new edition in six years – has gotten off to a stalled start after some software glitches bugged users around the world in the opening days.

However, once the bugs are cleared, there are some cool features waiting video game enthusiasts.

Here is our Top 10 list of cool and new features available in the latest edition of Forza Motorsport.

1: It is one of the few racing games to include Australian muscle cars. The Australian muscle car website Muscle Car Stables worked with the Forza developers to create a select range of modern and classic Aussie vehicles. A full list is available on this Facebook page.

2: The Blind Driving Assist function offers visually impaired people a chance to play the video game. The feature works by providing users with detailed audio information which includes their car's position and orientation in the race, progression through turns, acceleration and deceleration audio cues, and instruction on when to shift, just to name a few.

3: A 'Challenge the Grid' feature allows users to choose their own position on the grid – video game players can earn extra points and rewards when reaching podium positions after starting lower on the racing order. Participants who want a relaxed racing experience can position themselves up to third place in the race.

4: Forza Motorsport 8 is said to have an online driver safety rating – a system claiming to match players with similar driving etiquette to avoid players who disregard racing rules.

5: More than 800 performance upgrades are reportedly available in the Builder Cup Career mode.

6: There are customised fuel load and tyre options. Users can alter the weight of their fuel in cars as well as change different tyre compounds depending on the weather.

7: Forza Motorsport will reportedly feature new weekly racing events with vehicle and racing track restrictions set to challenge video game players.

8: Forza Motorsport 8 showcases at least 20 new tracks on its initial global release.

9: Custom graphic options are now available to Xbox console players – previously only PC players had access to custom graphic choices.

10: Forza Motorsport 8 has more than 500 cars in its initial launch phase, with new vehicles reportedly due to be added as part of the monthly game updates.
