Zenos Cars has released images and details of its first model, the E10, due for a market debut sometime in 2014.

The small British sports car upstart is headed by former Caterham bosses Ansar Ali and Mark Edwards, bringing that company's lightweight philosophy to Zenos.

Equipped with a 2.0 litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine, the E10 is expected to achieve 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 216km/h.

Interior features include lightweight composite seats, a multi-function LCD driver display and probably not much else, as even the heater is another option.

Further options include limited-slip diff, racing harnesses, full roll cage, premium paint, upgraded wheels and a combination of options called ‘track pack’.

Zenos is working on two other models at present – the E11 and the E12 – believed to be a roadster and coupe version of the E10 but little else is known about those models at this stage.

The E11 and E12 are set for a 2018 debut, while the E10 is expected to arrive next year, with pricing and further details to be confirmed.
