A recent Aston Martin trademark filing in Europe points to a new member of the Aston Martin family, but with the British sportscar firm readying a slew of new vehicles, the DBZ badge could be applied to any of them.

Industry pundits speculate that the DBZ moniker could be affixed to any of either the next-generation Rapide, Aston Martin’s upcoming hypercar collaboration with Red Bull, or a future Aston Martin EV.

But, a closer investigation of filings registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office reveals that while Aston Martin has applied for a trademark on the DBZ word, Andrea Zagato holds a previous filing for a DBZ logo (below).
